Non-Original Ink error

A Non-Original Ink error message may show up after cartridge installation. The good news is that you can get rid of the message easily. All you have to do is press Proceed, Continue, and OK to proceed with the printing process.

But if you’re still getting the message even after this, try removing the printer’s ink cartridges. Dip some cotton swabs in isopropyl alcohol or water to clean the contacts on the carriage and cartridge. Let them dry for a few minutes before putting them back in their place.

Depleted Ink Cartridge, Ink Cartridge Failure, and Incompatible Cartridge

These three error messages may show up because of a communication breakdown between the chip on the cartridge and the printer.

If you’ve encountered this HP OfficeJet cartridge error, reset your printer first to recover from the failures or errors. Turn on the printer and disconnect its power cord. Unplug its power cord from the power source then wait one minute. After the printer gets some rest, connect its power cord to the wall outlet and the device again. Turn the printer on to finish the reset process.
